Family Matters of Greater Washington
Alzheimer's Weekend Socialization and Respite Program

Provides Saturday, site-based respite care for spouses and other relatives who care for persons with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. It offers caregivers emotional support, information, and education at monthly support group meetings.

Heavy Housekeeping Services

Heavy housekeeping services are provided to frail, mentally impaired clients who cannot maintain their residences and who need homemaker services but are denied help because of the deplorable and unsanitary conditions of their living quarters. The primary goal of this service is to make the living quarters habitable so that homemaker services can be initiated.
